Ayar wakes up from her sleep after getting rid of the nightmare that has haunted her since she left everything behind in Syria and chose to go to France as a means of escaping the ghosts of the past, in a desperate attempt to get rid of the ghosts of a painful past. The characters in the novel are woven together in a series of intense events, showing us how a long war that robbed them of their lives in one way or another has affected them.
