Basic rules for using BIAN accounts and workflows

These terms describe the baseline expectations for account use, verification requests, profile claims, and responsible use of the platform.

Using the service

You are responsible for your account

When you create a BIAN account, you are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, the security of your sign-in credentials, and any actions taken through your account.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse profile claims or platform workflows

You may not impersonate another person or organization, submit false ownership claims, interfere with platform operations, scrape protected areas in a way that harms the service, or use the site to send abusive, misleading, or unlawful content.

False claims

BIAN may suspend, reject, or reverse profile claims when submitted information is inaccurate, misleading, or unsupported.

Security misuse

Attempts to bypass authentication, automate abuse, or interfere with operational systems may lead to account restriction or removal.

Content and decisions

BIAN may review and moderate account actions

Certain actions, such as enterprise access, author or publisher ownership requests, and profile corrections, may require manual review. BIAN may approve, reject, or request more information when needed to protect platform integrity.

Availability and changes

The service may evolve over time

BIAN may update workflows, features, ranking surfaces, moderation standards, and access rules as the platform develops. We aim to make material policy changes visible on the site.
